In Aid of Stained Glass Restoration

On the 28th May 2012, St Mary's, Banham had it's South Aisle stained glass window removed. This action was taken for safety reasons as the window is in imminent danger of collapse. The window has been boarded up and the three window panels are being held in safe storage until such time as we can affect the necessary repairs. This means that we have to raise in excess of £10,000 just for this one window! We are currently in the process of applying for such grants that may be of help but we also need YOUR support. The large East window above the high alter is also in need of extensive repair and some of the other windows require urgent attention. Photos of the window being removed can be found here. Photos of the required repairs to South Aisle and East window can be found here. We will keep you updated........
